Bill KellyBill Kelly has the energy of a teenager and the experience of 45 years in education, municipal service and private industry. Bill and his wife Mary came to Jamestown from Yonkers, New York, where he was the City’s Commissioner of Public Works. In Jamestown, Bill has served on the School Improvement Team and on a school superintendent search committee. He’s helped the Fire Department raise money and written grant proposals for both the Police and Planning departments. He is serving his third term on the Town Council. |

Julio DiGiandoJulio has served on the Town Council these past four years, serving as Town Council vice president for the past two and as liaison to the Harbor Commission. He regularly attends School Committee and Planning Commission meetings. Immensely accessible to all Jamestowners and respectful of different points of view, Julio brings real information and answers to the Council table, addressing the important issues, such as the Harbor and Groundwater ordinances, and the concerns of those providing emergency medical services.

Bob SuttonBob and his wife Linda have lived in Jamestown since 1970. They both feel a strong attachment to the people and the natural beauty of the island. Bob recently retired as Chief of the Division of Planning and Development for the Department of Environmental Management. Before that he spent 4 years in the Navy, worked as a Research Associate at URI and then served as Jamestown’s first Town Administrator for 17 years. Bob is a committed volunteer at the Jamestown Community Farm.

Mike WhiteMike White exemplifies enthusiasm and perseverance. Wounded in Vietnam, he retired as a Captain just three years after being drafted. With a BA in English and graduate courses under his belt, he spent 30 years in outreach and public relations for the Veterans Administration. In Jamestown, he’s coached Babe Ruth baseball and pitched on the softball team. He is former chair of the Board of Trustees for the Central Baptist Church and a member of the Disabled American Veterans. Since running in the Town Council race in 2005, Mike has had the opportunity to serve Jamestown as a Planning Commissioner and also as liaison to the Tree Committee. Many Jamestowners know his wife Lee from her work with the Jamestown Community Theatre. “I worked closely with Mike for many years on the Central Baptist Church Board of Trustees. I am confident that he will exhibit the same compassion and efficiency as a representative of the town as he did for our congregation.”

Jim DonnellyTown moderator Jim Donnelly serves as town moderator as a way of giving back to a community he loves. Jim brings great spirit and energy to everything he does. He combines a fundamental good nature with vast experience as a private attorney and as a former Town Solicitor for Jamestown, to run the Annual Financial Town Meeting in both a friendly and efficient manner. |

Julie KallfelzJulie Kallfelz brings energy and focus to every endeavor. Straightforward and intelligent, she cuts to the heart of a problem and works tirelessly toward solutions. Growing up in a military family, she lived in many parts of the United States, as well as overseas. She’s a graduate of Cornell, and served as an officer in the US Navy before joining a high-tech company, directing its hiring and training efforts. She now runs her own marketing business. She moved to Jamestown 13 years ago and jumped into island life. For the past two years Julie has served on the School Committee as vice chairwoman. She has participated in several searches for school administrators, serves as a lector and Eucharistic minister at St. Mark Church, and is a youth soccer coach and member of Rolling Agenda, a local biking advocacy group. An avid sailor, runner, biker, and beekeeper, she lives on Green Lane with her husband Andrew and daughters Emily and Eliza, both of whom attend the Jamestown School.

B.J. WhitehouseBruce Whitehouse, who is better known as B.J., moved to Jamestown in 1989. A relative newcomer to politics, B.J. is no stranger to the Jamestown community or to education. He is the director of the Jamestown Community Chorus and the Men’s Chorus of Jamestown. He has been part of the Community Band and Community Theatre over the years as well. In addition, he was part of the Jamestown Fireworks Committee, a.k.a. Rocket Dawgz, for 12 years.
